Looking forward to using this. Keep getting error that labels aren't right. They look good. Will try hard boot. Already updated.

CDR - would love to hear how you use GTD with tasks and do you use and iPhone with this? New to all of it, but much to get done!

Andy Thanks for this... It looks like something very useful. Must learn more about concept too.

I just started using GTD an few weeks ago.

I write a monthly tech article for our local paper and I promised my reader an in-depth look at GTDInbox in the next article. Next day - Gmail changes wreck it all!

I'm so glad to hear that it's being worked on :-)

Thanks so much for taking care of this. I don't know what I'd do without GTD. It literally has been a life saver in keeping me organized.

(whoops - i had the syntax wrong for status searches, it's 'label:s-next-action' or 's-next-action -label:s-finished', etc. maybe not as trivial as i said - but still, not very complicated...-)

Have only been using GTDInbox a couple days now and can't wait for it to be working again. I really love it!!! It's reassuring that you're acting so quickly on this fix and thanks for the communication also. I'm hoping that it'll be stable enough over the long run to continue using it. Thank you so much for the work you're doing.

Hi Andy,

I should've said this, yesterday, after the Gmail upgrade roll-out began affecting my apps and personal accounts. You do a great job, and I wish I could be of more practical help. I try to chime in on the forum with simple ways to work around situations such as this. For instance, simply turning on the Labs keyboard shortcuts feature makes applying GTDInbox labels easy with the new upgrade. This is actually an improvement to GTDInbox, and I am sure everyone will see it that way once you are able to restore some of the other functions. Some of your users seem to have trouble surfing on these changes, and I realize it is beyond the scope of your project to hand-hold them through, but you might consider adding some kind of best practices summary in the forum so that people who are baffled by Gmail upgrades can get quick help without having to read through the whole list of comments.

So, I'm sending you a note of encouragement. I really believe that your model of using email as the basis of contact and project management, rather than as an add-on to a traditional electronic Rollo-Dex or a traditional project-oriented system, makes complete sense for business use, today. You have a new paradigm for organizing work, and it definitely does the job for me. These Gmail upgrade difficulties are not only unintended consequences but terrific opportunities to refine your concept and its implementation as Google gives the underlying platform more power. They don't detract at all from your concept or implementation. Rather, they raise the level of underlying functionality for you to build on.

Best of success with the current Gmail upgrade. If I were with Google, I would be calling you for advice rather than letting you struggle with all-nighters after blind-siding you with unannounced upgrades. But I'm not with Google, so all I can say is that I support you all the way and wish you the best.
