Patching Problems – Alpha 19

This release fixes several small flaws – the ‘Compose Personal’ bug (caused by a minor change in Gmail), the ability to put the GTDInbox sidebar box above the standard Chat box, and ensuring the Labels menu on the Popup scrolls correctly.

I will also send this release to Mozilla Addons as I think we’ve hit a suitably stable milestone.

Development has been a little intermittent this last week because I’ve been out and about attending some industry events, looking for people with great skills who can help us accelerate, and more generally planning our next few months of building.

Normal programming will resume next week (from Tuesday the 8th), and I will start to write up and share a few of the plans – things are starting to get exciting again after our recent months of steady refinement, and I look forward to getting your input.

    Great.

    One bug, though – now you can get the sidebar box above the chat, but you can’t get it below (any attempt to unmark the checkbox triggers a popup message, but does not clear the checkbox; I can drag the box below manually, but it pops back up when Gmail restarts.

    Still seems to not load if you start with no emails – clicking on a Gmail label in the sidebar brings up the GTDInbox panel, and going back to the (empty) inbox, it’s still there.

    amazing job, the speed in which you guys fixed this bug is truly amazing, when i get some extra cash i think i throw a few bucks your way. Granted not much but $5 is a start ;-)

    I just looked around the site, how would one go about giving you a paypal donation? Donation information isn’t listed anywhere I can find, you guys should get right on that one :-)

    Seems to be an error when i loaded it it looked like it was not loading. I checked error in FF and this said it was loading. It looks like a little code adjustment required. The GTD side panel does not show up, but if i click on the labels above from GMail it shows itself ???

    From here it works fine not been able to drag it above but when i restarted again today its not showing again until i select the GMail labels panel above were GTD normally sits.

    Andy another error is the the pop up box in the middle goes right off the screen to the right for about 6 feet on some emails when your reviewing them.

    I am seeing the same issue as Phil B, Gmail loads without GTDInbox and it only appears when I select a label like All Mail. This was the same in Alpha 18.

    Great release! I think that you fixed some usability problems at the GUI. However it still have some troubles loading at Gmail. BTW I’ve been watching closely the development of bot Gtasks and GTDInbox and I consider both projects very similar in its objectives. Have you considered to use Gtasks and GTDInbox for example to sync Status and Context labels in GTD Inbox with lists in Gtasks and add due date to email in GTD Inbox (a missing feature).

    Is it possible to have a “refresh button” on GTDInbox panel?

    I love the new dashboard , and the ui of it.
    one small feature: add a reference tab for the dashboard ui (down where you put project, contexts, contacts, all) so I could filter project by references…

    Archive Button Redirect

    This is a great release. The only problem I’m having is that the GTD Archive Button neither redirects you to the Inbox (like the gmail Archive Button) nor forwards you to the next message (link the Finish Button). It does remove the ‘Inbox’ label.

    Could this functionality be added back (maybe as a preference).

    I have the same problem as Sergeiy; cannot un-check the “Force above Chat”-checkbox. Would be nice if that was possible…
