GTDInbox 3.0.22.6

In what I hope is the last of the recent rapid releases, we have 3.0.22.6 ready to go.

Thank you to everyone who submitted error reports from 3.0.22.5 and before, we fixed several more glitches, including the inability of the sidebar to show labels with a custom prefix (e.g. @ for contexts).

As with the previous releases, behind the scenes this is quite a big step forward, and I strongly urge you to upgrade!

Installing 3.0.22.6 for Firefox

Please go to http://www.gtdinbox.com/gettingstarted.htm

Installing 3.0.22.6 for Chrome

This is important – Chrome can have difficulties upgrading addons, so we suggest you close Gmail, uninstall the old GTDInbox, and then install the latest version.

To install, please download http://www.gtdinbox.com/gtdinbox_3-0-22-6.crx to your computer, and then open the file with Chrome.

A Note on New Features (the brand new sidebar and deadline/schedule features)

If you haven’t been introduced to the new features yet, please see http://blog.gtdinbox.com/2010/04/14/sneak-peek-gtdinbox-3-0-22-with-a-brand-new-sidebar-and-a-big-surprise/

custom prefixes work – Thank you Andy – you ‘da man!

  • Gregory

Looks very good … but ALL Gmail recent labels on the left are expanded and I can’t collapse them since the header (recent labels) is not there. So, each time I need to scroll down for GTDInbox sidebar :( ((

  • Gregory

The recent labels issue has been fixed by itself. So, Andy please ignore my previous request.
Sounds a bit strange, since I’ve uninstalled the previous version first, restarted browser, clean the cache, install the latest version, wait 15+ minutes before writing the request and it still was the issue. But 30 minutes later it was self fixed. Strange, but it works! Thanks!

It seems I have two issues on Vista, both Firefox and Chrome: first one is the missing ‘Recent labbels’ button to the left, just like Gregory said – it hasn’t auto-fixed itself yet :) The other one is Scheduling; I have the ‘Schedule’ button on top, next to ‘Labels’, but I don’t seem to be able to schedule new conversations. Conversations that have been scheduled earlier look fine, though, and I can also re-schedule them.

One more thing: my Review pop-up for ‘References’ is kinda garbled in Firefox (Vista) making it hard to see the clickable options; they overlap somehow.

New features / design looks good!

In the dropdown lists, I’d appreciate it if the elements were less spaced out in the future. Visually I love the blue stripes in the background, but the spacing between items is causing many of my lists to scroll. The less scrolling I have to do, the better. :)

Really appreciate this product — thanks for all your work!

Bug report – Statuses list not working properly

I just updated to Firefox GTDInbox 3.0.22.6 – I have added extra status labels to separate ‘Internal Pending’ and ‘External Pending’ for my work. When I click on ‘Statuses’ in the GTDInbox sidebar, I get a list of statuses with a scroll bar, but the status labels are all on top of each other, with means I can’t click on two of them.

    Scheduling is ok! Guess I wasn’t :)

I still have the exact same problem (labels expanded) and it’s still making using GTD difficult.

I am now having the same issue as Gregory – All Gmail labels on the left are expanded at least in Chrome w/ 3.0.22.6. This is happening on a Vista machine and a Windows 7 machine. I’ll wait and see what happens and with all the work Andy’s been up to – it’s worth it. Plus is a godsend! Thanks!

  • Michael

Same issue here – all gmail labels expanded. GTD Inbox side-panel pushed below bottom of scroll-window.

Hi G, I think Pete (the designer) has fixed this now. Please try 3.0.22.8 and it should be fixed.
