Bug Fixes in ActiveInbox 4.0.3.4

This is a quick collection of bug fixes that you reported over the weekend. Thank you to everyone who wrote in.

The ToDo Pinning Problem

The Review Bar now pins ToDo items and always remembers them (and you can edit them by clicking the ‘To Do’ dropdown, then clicking the green pin icon).

The Plus icon no longer obscures the star on Firefox

Some people thought we were trying to restrict the starring facility on Gmail for ActiveInbox Plus… It was absolutely an honest mistake! Something in the Firefox renderer caused the “Reply to Self” Plus icon to appear over the Gmail star in conversations. Now fixed.

Notes dropdown is always visible

The Notes dropdown will no longer appear off the screen.

Statuses and Deadlines Update Instantly

A Gmail change meant that applying Status and Deadline items was taking longer than usual: now fixed (and rolled out even to older versions of ActiveInbox).

Previous Emails can be read in conversations

I fixed a bug that stopped the previous conversation from popping-up when clicked in ‘Previous Emails’ in the reply box.

Firefox 10 Compatible

As Firefox continues to update at a terrifying pace, we now support up to version 10.

It will auto-update, but you can download from http://www.activeinboxhq.com/install.php

hi, the To Do bar is still no remembering the pins :( am using Mac Lion with Chrome.

Also, any way to do the same pinning with Projects? the pins are there, but they dont pin to the taskbar above..would be great to have that function too

    thanks

      Hi Samer,

I’ll look into the pinning issue now.

The Projects dropdown do pin, to the top of the dropdown. They don’t pin to the Review Bar itself (like To Do does), simply because space is a premium.

Having the same problem here — I’m on Windows 7, Chrome — I pinned the To Do’s but they don’t seem to stay properly.

For the Project pins, I think there need to be some sort of separation between the pinned items and non-pinned items — just a thin line or space because it almost looks like duplicate projects.

Last issue for now — the Create Project option at the bottom seems to have disappeared for me after I created a new project once.  Not sure if the issue is related to the creating a project action.

Now for the praises! :)   I REALLY like this To Do bar — I am actually using the Today / Overdue features now (never used this in the old version) — and it’s pushing me to want to use Contexts and Projects again which I had abandoned.  I think this is really great at the top.   (Only request, is that we could make the background translucent — I’m using the HD wood theme and it just stands out too much — I would settle for a dark version toggle or something)

        Thanks Andy and team!

Hmm… there is a thin line separating the pinned projects/contexts, maybe it’s too light, a bit darker?

I agree with Nathan… different shading for the pinned projects would be nice… I have 11 pinned projects and when you are whipping up and down the list it’s hard to see the delineation.

    Hi Andy,

As with some of the other comments – the pinning of the To Do items is still not permanent. I just repinned my Today and Overdue list and then had to refresh the browser a few minutes later and they were gone again.

    Windows 7 & Chrome -
    Google Chrome15.0.874.120 (Official Build 108895) m
    Cheers,

Me too having the To Do pinning not permanent issue.

    Windows 7 & Firefox 7.0.1

Every time I close the browser and open again, all pinning have gone missing. Hoping for a fix.

ditto.  pinned items have disappeared.  Mac OS X 10.7.2; Chrome browser.
