Sales FAQ

  • What is your refund policy?

    Subscriptions are currently bought in annual blocks, and we offer a 14 day refund from the date of purchase. Email support@activeinboxhq.com. We actively encourage you to try ActiveInbox Free before you buy and get a feel for what ActiveInbox can do - and if it's right for you.

  • What if Gmail breaks/clones ActiveInbox?

    When Gmail changes occur that could cause disruption in ActiveInbox (about every two months on average), our policy is to get it fixed within 48 hours (excluding Sundays). The only event that would cause a policy change is if Gmail were to clone all our features and there were no more innovations being requested by customers, which is unlikely given how conceptually different ActiveInbox is to regular email. However, to be clear, if this does happen we cannot offer a refund, but all our customers should rejoice as they would have native access to all their favorite features!

  • What happens to my data if I don't renew?

    If you don't renew your subscription after a year then your online account will be frozen. However we do not delete your data for 3 months, so it will still be there if you want to activate it again. We will also make your data available for exporting and download.
    Currently this data is just your main email address and password. Future features may, with your permission, utilize more data.

  • What are the requirements for ActiveInbox?

    ActiveInbox currently requires the Firefox or Google Chrome browser for Windows/Mac/Linux, and a Gmail or Google Apps account.

  • What are your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy?

  • Can I ask a question?

  • I have more than one Gmail account, must I buy 2 licences?

    Your ActiveInbox Plus account is valid for both a work account and a personal account (i.e. 2 accounts), so no. If you have more than two accounts, please remember that ActiveInbox Plus is built over ActiveInbox Free, so you can use ActiveInbox Plus on the accounts that need it, and ActiveInbox Free on other accounts without complicating your system.

  • We want ActiveInbox for everyone in our company, do you offer bulk discounts?

    Not at present, we've priced ActiveInbox to be excellent value for each individual user account (about $2/mo). If you believe we should rethink, we are listening!

  • Why is it an annual price?

    We continually add/refine features, fix bugs and maintain the code throughout the year; as well as provide ongoing server side storage for your data. (We also oppose more traditional version licences as they hurt users by encouraging developers to withhold features - or worse, add unnecessary features - to justify a new version).

  • I have a feature request, will you make it?

    We actively discuss new features, and listen to customer's ideas, on the blog and on the Community Forum. All customers are encouraged to get involved. We prioritize based on a combination of customer demand and speed of development. (Please note, we consider the Free version complete and will not be adding any new free features).
