Pricing

• What is your refund policy?

  Licenses are currently bought in annual blocks, and we offer a 30 day refund from the date of purchase (although if you're ever not happy, just drop us an email and we'll see what we can do). Email support@activeinboxhq.com. We actively encourage you to try the ActiveInbox Plus trial (just install it and start the trial) before you buy and get a feel for what ActiveInbox can do - and if it's right for you.

• We want ActiveInbox for everyone in our company, do you offer bulk discounts?

  We don't yet have a formal volume discount plan, but if you email sales@activeinboxhq.com we will find something that works well for your company. We also have tools for group account management.

• Why is it an annual price?

  We continually add/refine features, fix Gmail changes and maintain the code throughout the year; as well as provide ongoing server side storage for your data. (We also oppose more traditional version licences as they hurt users by encouraging developers to withhold features - or worse, add unnecessary features - to justify a new version).

• Does it automatically renew each year?

  No, it is not a subscription, so you can choose each year whether to continue enjoying the benefits of ActiveInbox Plus.

• Why is the price currently discounted?

  The price is currently $24.95 because ActiveInbox Plus is still getting better (it's an early bird price to thank early customers!). As our planned features get implemented the price for new customers will rise to $49.95/account/year. Buy now for a great deal AND to support ActiveInbox's future (our customers are our investors - which means that everything we do is dedicated to supporting you and you only).

• Do you have free licenses for charities and other good causes?

  It would be our pleasure to support people doing good work by helping you get your email under control. Please come and say hi to sales@activeinboxhq.com with an explanation of what you do and what your circumstances are! Please be aware that we only donate full licenses (rather than give discounts), as we believe everyone should pay the same or nothing, and try to donate only to non-profits that we feel do really great work for others.

Accounts & Licensing

• I have more than one Gmail account, must I buy 2 licences?

  Your ActiveInbox Plus account is valid for both a work account and a personal account (i.e. 2 accounts), so no. If you have more than two accounts, please remember that ActiveInbox Plus is built over ActiveInbox Free, so you can use ActiveInbox Plus on the accounts that need it, and ActiveInbox Free on other accounts without complicating your system.

• Can I use ActiveInbox Plus on multiple machines?

  Yes, ActiveInbox Plus is licensed per Gmail/Google Apps account, and you can use your ActiveInbox Plus installation for any machine that accesses that Gmail account (all you have to do is enter your ActiveInbox Plus password on each new machine).

• What happens to my data if I don't renew?

  If you don't renew your Plus license after a year then your online account will be frozen. However we do not delete your data for 3 months, so it will still be there if you want to activate it again. We will also make your data available for exporting and download.
  Please note: Currently this data is only your main email address and password. Future features may, with your permission, utilize more data.

• What if Gmail breaks/clones ActiveInbox?

  When Gmail changes occur that could cause disruption in ActiveInbox (about every two months on average), our policy is to get it fixed within 48 hours (excluding Sundays). The only event that would cause a policy change is if Gmail were to clone all our features and there were no more innovations being requested by customers, which is unlikely given how conceptually different ActiveInbox is to regular email. However, to be clear, if this does happen we cannot offer a refund, but all our customers should rejoice as they would have native access to all their favorite features!

• How long have you been in business?

  ActiveInbox (as the experimental projects GTDInbox and GTDGmail) has been supported since 2006, and we became a profitable company in 2009. We are in this for the long haul.
