Installing ActiveInbox for Gmail on your computer

Install ActiveInbox into Google Chrome

  1. Install ActiveInbox 3.1.1 for Chrome
  2. A warning will appear at the bottom of Chrome, click 'Continue':
  3. Another box will popup asking for confirmation. Approve it.
    This must appear - if you do not see it popup please click the Install link again (up to 5 times) until it appears.
    (We are actively trying to resolve this Chrome quirk that affects some Mac users!).
  4. When it is complete, load Gmail in a fresh tab. If it is successful, you will see the new sidebar box.

Install ActiveInbox into Firefox

  1. Install ActiveInbox 3.1.1 for Firefox
    (Note: you get a download error with the code -228, right click the Install link and save the file to your computer, then drag it onto Firefox to complete the installation.)
  2. You may see a warning bar at the top of Firefox, click 'Allow' to continue:
  3. A confirmation box will appear. Click 'Install Now' to accept.
  4. After it has installed, restart Firefox and open Gmail. If it is successful, you will see the new sidebar box:
